View Full Version : XC Skies down again?

With the start of our spring soaring season, I am a regular visitor to
XC Skies web site. It has looked as if their problems from the recent
hardware crash have not been overcome - the site has been misbehaving
since they got it back up recently and last night it went down again.
Any news or updates?

Mike, you need to subscribe to the XC SKIES forum at

This was posted at ~10am 2/10/2012 from the author of XCSKIES Chris

The site is back up. We are investigating the problem. All of our
servers were functioning, but it appears there was an issue with
access
into our cloud environment. We're working with the provider to
understand what happened and make this never happens again. Even
though
our servers were up, without access to certain NOAA/NWS locations,
the
models are lagging behind by a few hours for updates, and the RUC
failed
to run altogether early this morning. These will be filled in.
