O.K. the big day has come at last. Ready to fit the wings to the
fuselage and need to make four fittings from 4130 .125" sheet. Cut it,
jig and weld, drill, file smooth, curse, repeat as necessary.
I ordered a 9"x 9" sheet from Wicks and sure enough, it arrives the
next day.
Sheet doesn't look like .125 so I measure it and it only goes .118"
thick.
Call Wicks and am told a story about bankruptcy, business restarts and
they can't get it.
Does anyone know where there is a ready supply? I just need 9x9.
Or....anybody want to go into the 4130 sheet steel business?
It sounds like price increase time.
Thanks in advance.

I have not bought anything recently, but I have had very good luck buying
stuff from Shapiro Supply in St Louis. They do not mind small quantities
and their prices are very competitive.
