This is a pretty typical Angel Flight experience. I encourage any
instrument rated pilots to check into AF. I have found it very
rewarding.

Yup, good publicity.
I flew an Angel Flight mission last week that took me into BOS--my first
time at a Class B airport. The pax were pretty nonchalant about it--one of
them slept though most of the flight.

Susan Warnick's 1(News 5 Boston) Sister again excellent work.
We have flow balls to the wall into BOS (we need to keep the
speed up) "rodger that". Neat in the Falcon (USCG HU-25).
Have a great one!

In many AF regions, an instrument rating is not required.

i'm five hours away from my IFR checkride.
i've checked out the angel flight west site and plan to let them know my
interest this spring after some more IFR practice
to me it's exciting flying a "quasi schedule", delivering passengers and such
can't wait

Assuming it is not a busy news day, the "Today Show" will be airing a six
minute segment on Angel Flight on Friday, Nov. 21. If you look real hard
in that segment and if the editors were kind, you might see a C172
departing Lawrence, Mass. It'll be my aircraft's 15 minutes of fame. :)
Actually, this story centers on a four-year old boy, his family, and his
weekly journey between Rochester, NY, and Boston.
AF missions make up 90% of all my flying these days. They are the most
rewarding flying I do and I also encourage other pilots to consider joining
your local group. Like the other posters in this thread, I would never
have thought of flying into Boston's Logan Airport in a C172 prior to
flying for AF.
