I use a Volkslogger/ SeeYou for my OLC submissions, and that has
always worked great...until yesterday. The secure download to my SD
card in my IPAC worked as usual and has the proper date on it when
viewed on my computer. However, when I submitted it to OLC, it shows
a date of 9-18-1992. I'm thinking maybe there is a battery in the VL
that retains the setting and data when not powered externally, and it
hs died.

Anyone know what could cause this?

Hi,

The internal battery dying could be the cause. But it could also be that
you uploaded a file that was not generated by your logger. Make sure the
filename includes the serial number of your logger. I have seen many glider
pilots accidentally upload the flight log file that was generated by the
soaring flight software rather than the flight log generated by their
logger. If the PDA's date is wrong it would not affect the VL flight log
date, but it could affect the PDA logger's date.

If you send a link to the file on the OLC, we can offer more help.
