Looks a lot like some Blanik L-13s are still flying. Doesn't the AC
version have a a canopy more like the L-23, and no "tip tanks" on its
shorter wing?

I figured as much right after hitting "send". Now, if the US can just
see fit to approve the repair and have it be somewhat economically
feasible to do...

First off - I am not an aerobatic pilot but I noticed something in the clip which struck me as strange: The Blaniks - in order to match the much lower L/D of the wing suits - have to fly fast with their spoilers open. I remember seeing a photo of some Jantar model flying near Vne right side up with open spoilers. The wings flexed up in an almost perfect semi-circle since the entire weight of the glider was supported by the outer wing.
Now, doing something like this while flying inverted must be hell for the wing spar. Is the Blanik approved for something like this? Just curious....
