Hiya,

Does anyone have suggestions as to where to go for lessons in the Richmond,
VA area? I'm north of the James, but can travel, of course. I'd prefer not
to go as far as Charlottesville or Williamsburg, where I know there are
Cessna schools. (Don't remember the exact term.)

Thanks very much,
Meriah...

I took my training several years ago right there at Richmond International.
You also may want to look at Hanover County or Chesterfield.

Meriah,

I live in the city of Richmond. I got my PPL at Chesterfield (KFCI). Their
flight school is Dominion Aviation
http://www.dominionaviation.com/contact.htm

One jewel at FCI is the Wingnuts flying club based there
http://www7.brinkster.com/wingnuts/1.0/index.htm. We have 5 aircraft
ranging from a Cessna 150 to a Lance. It is possible to join the club
(refundable fee) and train in our 150 for far less than renting. You would
be welcome to drop in at any club meeting.
