I notice you are offset to the right side of the Pawnee, you are
making your tow pilot work harder.
Ever wonder why tow pilots have strong right legs?
For long high tows we ask our pilots, especially those with heavy
gliders, to line up on the left main tire, or where the left strut
enters the wing. They pull the tail slightly left, reducing the right
rudder needed from P-factor. If the glider is to the right side, he is
pull is adding to the right rudder pressure needed.

It figures that I post some great videos and the only response I get is some criticism?
Thanks a bunch...

Well, I thought they were great pictures.
How is/are the camera(s) held – a mixture of hand held, head mounted, some fixed position?

I have a mount for my iPhone. A couple of my videos were shot with a hand held.

I sure enjoyed all of the videos! Wondering how far it is from Mt. Hood back to the field? Unclear if the return trip would be an easy final glide or if it would take some serious work to get back.

Please don't think of T's message as criticism, think of it instead as a
helpful hint.
Having towed a Blanik across 3 mountain ranges in Colorado with a glider
pilot who briefed me before the flight that he'd stay slightly low and to
the left, I can appreciate the advice. It was great being able to put my
feet on the floor for a while rather than constantly holding right rudder.

It was a very easy glide back, Mt. Hood is only about 20 miles south.

As far as my tow position, I was trying to nudge her a little closer to the mountain. I always stay a little to the left when I want to go straight.

Ahh.. Steering the tow plane... Not many glider pilots know how that
works... And a lot less tow pilots would follow the directions and
simply mash the right rudder harder and curse the glider pilot.
Not many schools even teach it.
I thought maybe you were on that side for the camera angle.

Well some of that too, and some sloppy flying because of filming. At that altitude, there really wasn't much pull on the rope left either. Judy, our tow pilot is THE BEST at steering turns! You can steer her 5 degrees at a time if you want. You never need to say a word to her if you don't want to. She must have 5000 tows or more. She's in her 70s but still the best.
