The open class at Uvalde is the most interesting in the modern
glass era, post 1966. There are 5 new designs racing, the oldest
being the EB29 which first flew in 2009. The others are all new this
year- Concordia, Quintus, Antares 23, and JS1C. All five are in the
top seven places after 7 days. All have won a day and the Antares
23 has won 3 days.

Can anyone explain the difference between the Quintus and
Antares wings? They apparently share quite a bit, but the Q has
polyhedral and different winglets.

Sure. Both are built by Lange in the Antares molds at ZWB;
this is a Lange-designed stretch of the Antares 20E wing.
Structurally the Quintus and Antares 23 are identical.
SH adds dihedral for the outer panel and changes from a
Boermanns winglet to a Maughmer winglet.
Apologies if I've misspelled both names...

Other differences inside inboard LE:
SH wing has a fuel tank (gas self-launch),
23E has batteries (electric self-launch),
23T has a 6th water tank (turbo fuel tank in fuse).
