Scheduling Club Gliders

Our club (located in US) is considering scheduling students and
instructors for training flights. It is now first come, first served
based on a sign up sheet at the airport.

Has anyone had experience doing this?

How long was each training session scheduled?

What scheduling program was used?

Comments and advice on using this approach for training flights?

1) Yes, at least four clubs I have been a part of the last 30 years.

2) 90 min to 2 hour long slots. Aircraft on the line ready to go, 15
min prior to next slot.

3) Many templates in Excel available for hard copy at the airport
(recommended)

4) Need to encourage studedents to be at the airport on a regular
basis - on line sign ups tend to discourage this. however, one that
works well is pilotschedule.com (Free and easy to use)
