Land to become city park
BLUE ASH
More than 90 years after planes began taking flight there, the Blue Ash
Airport will close Wednesday.
The airport will cease operations at noon. Most aircraft have already been
moved to other airports.
The airport was built in 1921 as Grisard Field. Cincinnati sold the
airport to Blue Ash in 2006, but regulations about what could be done with
the proceeds led the communities to redo the deal, except with the airport
closed.
Blue Ash intends to begin work this fall to turn much of the airport into
a park.
