Delta Connection Academy Is a RIP OFF.. I am a student of DCA. I just
Graduated from that school. My advise to any body who plans to go
there is: DON'T GO> They will take every dime from your account as
they want. I Know many people who ent there, pass all the check rides,
fAA and didn't get hire by them. Now you end up with a 85K loan to
pay. If they hire, you have to way 6 to 8 months for standarization
class. Imajine you wauting 6-8 months to become an instructor. Waht
are you going to do while you wait. You have to pay hours of flying
from you own pocket. I addition, if you pass all te exams and the
flight test, you get the job. They pay you 10$ and hour and you fly 20
hours a week. MY Question is? Can you live, with $700 a month, pay
your student loan amd rent. When you go there for the tour, they don't
tell you all these things. I glad that I have all my ratings quick.
But what price are you willing to pay from Privet to CFI $75, 85$,
$100. My instructor from DCA was not hire by any commuter of them,
that is bad, now he went to his local town to flip burgers and fly the
week-ends in a local FBO. They promise too many things but they just
give you Nothing. Be careful. Don't waste your money or time.

Maybe they didn't hire you because you can't write at a high school level.

I wish somebody would enforce the "be able to speak, read, write and
understand English" part of every certificate requirement.

I think he is just an old drunk that is seeing 3 keyboards in front of him,
and all 3 of them are missing keys!
I know 4 yr olds that can spell better than that.

Why "old" (as in "an old drunk")?
Actually, I've a theory that the recent spate of illiterate postings
represent some coordinated trolling. I've zero evidence for this, but some
of the postings that have fallen into this category have just *begged* for
outraged - or at least concerned - responses.
You know the type:
Me be pilot now. Me wanna buzz friend's house. What
best place to rent for shortest checkout?
or such. Or perhaps it's just that I'm still sufficiently new at this that
I've trouble believing in pilots being so illiterate.

One thing I've noticed, in my 5 years of hanging around this group:
The people who bitch the loudest about not being hired seem to share the
curse of illiteracy.
It's truly sad, and speaks volumes about our schools and our society.

I also find that those same people think that they "deserve" a job or rather
a "position" & and a title, with a huge salary and lots of benefits, and
that depending on their politics either corporate America or the US
Government "owe" them one or both, but in no way are they under qualified,
under experienced, illiterate, or have a bad attitude... yeah right.

Dats gud.

Great discoveries are not announced with "Eureka!". What's usually said is
"Hummmmm... That's interesting...."

Your posting is cute, but as stated on "www.truthorfiction.com":

Taking the research a step further, www.snopes.com explains: "Kaye's name
likely became associated with it through the innocent act of finding the
article in his inbox and liking it enough to forward to friends. People tend to
leave official-looking signatures intact when they forward e-mail, and his
name's remaining with the piece beyond the initial round of forwardings could
easily have created the impression that he was the article's creator. Kaye is
quick to give credit where credit is due..."
I've gotten this diatribe from acquaintances even less interested in
attribution, who were happy to claim it was written by, for heaven's sake,
George Carlin. Any day now he'll be credited with the Bill of Rights.
Of course, this Bill of No Rights does include:
ARTICLE VIII:
You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in
foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience.
I hate 90% of forwarded things.

Well, I think the school is excellent. I'm half way done with my PP
and have nothing but good things to say about the school. It will cost
me more than I was expecting, but hey, you will end up flying those
hours anyways.
