I want to pass along the name of a book I just finished.
HIGHLY recommend to everyone in here.

"Unbroken": A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience,
and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand (Nov 16, 2010).

I know there are several lovers of the Liberator in here.
The book gives a none-too-happy description of the B-24s.

The worst possible scenario on a life raft without food
or water for over a month... then after being "rescued",
the REALLY hard time starts.

I've read a ton of books about WWII. This one is now
residing comfortably in my "Top 5."

Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible.

Understatement of the century was from Tom Brokaw. He
called 'em the Greatest Generation. **Baloney**
That description doesn't come close.
