I read about a VASI-type landing aid that sits on top of the cockpit
panel or attached to the glare shield. It produces a "red dot" and
allows the pilot to define his/her glide slope, etc. The product
could be viewed at www.argenav.com.

Has anyone had any experience/demonstration of this or a similar
product?

I would think that an enhanced laser pointer would work in much the same
way -- if the dot movesaway from you, down the runway, you need to reduce
power, add drag or slip; if it moves toward you, add a little power.

I have used a similar product - a bug on my windshield.

But it was quite a bit less than $125.

I was thinking the same thing... to many electronics in the aircraft when
mother nature provides the bugs.. and the brains to use them.

And I thought the scratches in my windshield were a bad thing...... ;)
