I will be visiting Iowa City soon and was wondering if anyone knew of a good
aviation themed hotel in that area?
Thanks

Well, you could always try the Alexis Park Inn - I saw a good review about it by
Rick Durden in one of the magazines. http://www.alexisparkinn.com

Where do you put your car when you stay at Jay's place?
Alexis Parkin' (You might see a Lexus parking at Alexis Parking.)
What do you say if you see a soccer player on fire?
Alexi's sparkin'!
That's enough (it was too much already). We will not delve into the
mysteries of Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas.

No sane person would ever visit Iowa City. It's best to drive through that stretch of I-80
as fast as possible. Sleep in your car at the world's largest truck stop a few miles down the
road.

I heard the tires on the trailer didn't touch the ground going through Iowa the
second time. :-)

Yep, we dropped in on Jay the first time through (when the trailer was empty).
I'm not sure about any place where it took us an hour of driving around to find
a beer.

Well, flying there does require an airplane capable of getting off the
ground. Hey, there's a great lead in for a Ron/Margie question: What's the
latest on the Navion?
....ducking...

They've ripped out my old panel and I am supposedly getting the cad drawings
of the new panel this week. After I approve that, they'll have it cut and put the
rest of it back together. After that it's interior and paint and I should be able
to fly it back home to have the new radios put in.

Ya know, Jack, you are messing with Karma or something by being so cruel to
those of us not fortunate to be able to fly at the moment.
I am recording and storing these little snippets of yours for future
retaliation.

When the panel is done, please send pics of your panel to the ALEXIS PARK

It would appear that Jay is paying all of us. I just downloaded the day's
headers for this group, and damned if 90% of them don't relate directly to
Jay's hotel.
