If and when you compete, do you make up your own TP maps using something like Google Earth or Google Maps?

i always carry a sectional, and for the 13.5 meter regionals last year made a TP map with a sectional background.

I always print my own with the turnpoints marked. I start with the free
downloads at
http://avn.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/VFR/chartlist_sect
and then use the Global Mapper program to stitch together the relevant charts,
mark the turnpoints, and print out the pertinent parts of the chart at a suitable scale. I also print the edition data, contact data, and scales so that the chart is useful and legal.
Global mapper is available at globalmapper.com. The free trial version is
useful enough for what I need. I don't bother with the Google maps since
they don't have the aeronautical data needed for flight.
