Museo Storico Aeronautica Militare – Italian Air Force Museum
Here’s a few pictures of my visit to the Italian Air Force Museum, which
is some 25 kilometres/15½ miles from Rome. It’s well worth a visit, with
some very interesting and unique exhibits. It is situated on the shore
of Lake Bracciano and, had a mist not closed in followed by heavy rain,
I could also have enjoyed some spectacular views! Ah well, perhaps on my
next visit...
It is easily accessible from Rome (Ostiente Station) by train to the
town of Bracciano, followed by a 2 mile bus ride. Be warned that the
return bus journey goes by a different, and longer, route. It’s very
pretty, though.
