G'day All,

I have posted these years ago in this group - but they may be an interesting
counterpoint to Ricardo's great shots - they were taken if my fading memory
is right in 1962,

Anyhow enjoy a couple of Albatrosses at Chiampino(spelling) in BW.

see ya

Hi CP,

Well, you pronounced it correctly and Ciampino is now Rome's no.2 airport:

The aircraft in my picture is MM50-179 which, as with your aircraft
pictured, MM50-174 AND MM50-180, served with with 85ē Gruppo of 15ē
Stormo based at Rome Ciampino.

Regards

As a follow up, here's a couple more shots of this type of aircraft,
taken last year at el Museo Del Aire Quatro Vientos in Madrid.
