FS: Cambridge 302

Hey all,

I'm switching out my cambridge 302 for something else (maybe LX v7?) so I'm going to sell it.

It is an older type (NO USB port in the back) however the innards have just been completely replaced last year because I had shorted something out inside.


So.... It works perfect, is is good condition, just recently calibrated and sealed.


I don't really know what they are worth so how about a best offer?



.... since you are going ask. Why I'm i getting rid of it? It works great but I've never had a fondness for the 302. I already have a clearnav, powerflarm, and EW micro so I really don't need the recorder capacity. And I'm eager to play with some new electric vario toys.

ClearNav CNv-XC is made for guys like you. $500 discount to ClearNav owners. It does essentially all the same stuff as 302+303, will integrate nicely with CearNav.

CNv club shipping now, major software update for club on 3/31 (Easter Sunday, make your own jokes), XC software available in May (do it yourself upgrade from Club to XC via USB stick).

Hey, Evan,

I noticed one of the features on the XC is an OAT. Where does that connect
(there isn't any connectors labelled for it), and will that be provided on
the $700 upgrade? (I must admit I'm a little disappointed that the upgrade
went up in price since I bought the club version last year, and the difference
was only $500 back then).

The OAT probe will connect on pins 7&8. You can still use a momentary switch on these pins if you need one. This will all be handled in software configuration. If OAT probe is not present, CNv uses std atmosphere model.

On my todo list: sit down with calculator and figure out worst case improvements to device accuracy given accurate OAT vs model. Guess is that primary utility of OAT is "when do I need to dump my tail tank" (due to incipient freezing) rather than real improvement in STF or glide calculation.
