So I still have an Oudie 1 and was thinking of upgrading to the brighter screen Oudie 2. Is Naviter still doing the upgrades, or did I wait too long?. I checked the Naviter website, and see no more mention of the upgrade option.

Thanks

Peter

Peter,

We offer to our customers in exchange for your Oudie 1 a replacement with Oudie 2 Lite where we will transfer the license from the old Oudie to the new one. In order to complete this process please purchase the Oudie 2 Lite and ship me you Oudie 1. In the comments section of the order please note you are upgrading to an Oudie 2 and note the SN of your Oudie 1.

Hi Peter,

The screen swap/upgrade is no longer available. But it is possible to
trade-up. Just send your original version Oudie to me and I can transfer
your Oudie Lifetime license to a new Oudie 2 Lite. You'd need to buy the
Oudie 2 Lite for the normal price of $375. The trade-in of your original
version Oudie gets you the $250 Oudie Lifetime License for free. So you get
a $625 Oudie 2 with Lifetime License for $375 price of an Oudie 2 Lite. You
also get all new accessories. You only need to send me the original version
Oudie unit.

Best Regards,

I flew with an Oudie 1 in 2011 (not mine) and was pleased enough with it that I bought an Oudie 2 Lite for this season, replacing my hx4705 (which wasn't nearly as readable as the O-1).

The O-2 is so bright I have to wear sunglasses to play with it indoors at night!

Needless to say I recommend the O-2 highly, but is it worth the $375 to upgrade from a readable O-1? Personally I'd rather pay for tows with that, but your budget may vary.
