View Full Version : Condor Scenery for US sites?

Folks,

Older threads seem to point to some outdated sites (or at least the server has been down for some time). Is there a definitive site to find scenery for a few select US locations (Mifflin, Uvalde, Hobbs, Chillhowee, etc)?

p.s. Frank Paynter, I hate you. I mean hate you with a deep, abiding passion that knows no bounds. You have taken me to the dark side. Forget work-life balance. How about Condor-life balance? :-)

Hi,

I do try to make my Condor web page a good resource for stuff like this. Go
to:
http://www.cumulus-soaring.com/condor.htm#Links
The link to condor-club.eu works and seems to have many sceneries available.
You may need to register - but it is free. Let me know if that doesn't work
for you.
http://www.condor-club.eu/sceneries/197/

The Sceneries Map is a cool way to see what's available.

I (actually my wife) feel your pain. :-)

There's several good US sceneries. Dave Leonard did a nice job with Mifflin.
There's the Appalachia scenery that runs from almost Blue Ridge down past Knoxville, so you can relive parts of Lin Stevenson's epic flights. There's
Uvalde, New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada sceneries. Rio Grande has part of the
Marfa task area I think. Sierra Nevada covers the Minden and Hilton Ranch area.
Pacific Northwest is very popular. There's a Logan scenery that's nice too.
I haven't tried the other US ones since I mostly just have the ones I need
for USNS and MNS flying.

Now, just wait 'till you get hooked on the online stuff!
