This year's Hamilton air show was excellent. There was a wide selection of aircraft ranging from a Fokker triplane replica to the only airworthy Mosquito extant. Although I arrived early, there were already a lot of people milling around the static area making uncluttered shots of the aircraft very difficult, if not impossible. I expect most people have experienced the wait for an enthusiast to finish his close inspection of the rivets on an aircraft only to have someone else moving into the frame just as the first chap moves away.
I must say the parking arrangements were exemplary. Cars were parked on a sod farm and a fleet of buses ferried patrons to the airfield. On the way out this facilitated a fast getaway because the usual flood of people was attenuated by the slightly spaced out arrival of the buses. If only the QEW had been less congested. It took me over two hours to travel the 80km to get past Toronto. :-(
