The photo shows Nadezhda Popova who flew Po-2s for the 46th Guards Night
Bomber Regiment during WW2. Popova, who was awarded the title of Hero of the
Soviet Union, died this week aged 91.

The Flying Heritage Collection in Everett, Washington state, USA
operates a Po-2 painted in the markings of the 46th Guards Night
Bomber Regiment.
