King Mountain Safari Canceled due to Area Fires & Smoke

John Kangas just called and asked that we put the word out that this year's King Mountain Safari has been canceled due to smoke and fires in the area. He will send an email to pilots scheduled to attend once he gets near a computer. This post is an attempt to catch as many of the pilots as possible before they headed out for the event. Hello Glider friends,

We are very sorry to announce, that due to very large and severe forest fires burning to the west of King Mountain in the Sun Valley area, and given the high probability of very poor visibility and bad air quality next week, we find it necessary to cancel the 2013 Safari.
