Do you need a replacement set? I have a place lined up to make bags for my ships; we can probably make a set to fit your ship if you have some we can copy.

Thanks, Bob K.

Bob,
I do not have a set at present.
Given that, do you have any suggestions?

Tim, have you tried RPR Industries?

rprind DOT com

RPR Industries, Inc. * P.O. Box 220 * Grantsville, West Virginia 26147
304.354.7844 (phone) * 304.354.7132 (fax)
rprind AT frontiernet DOT net

Believe they used to be in Apex, NC. Installed a set of their bags in a Libelle. Can't describe the ordering process, as unfortunately I did not order the bags.
They look much like Smiley bags.

Tim,
RPR needs a pattern but they would look at it if some exist.
Also bags are available from Europe for around a $1000.

I think I will take higher tows instead.

Thanks for your input

Bob,

I have acquired a pattern (old leaky bag). Can you discuss your people who have made bags for your ships?
Thanks so much

I received a copy of the drawings of the original bags from Schleicher's ever-so-helpfull Rolf Schulze. It includes dimensions, etc. May I suggest you ask him for those.

Uri,
Would you mind sharing your drawings? I am in the U.S and don't speak German.
Did you have someone make a set of bags for you?

Great news, Uri.
Tom et al, Rolf is fluent in English.
Addresses at Schleicher are
first dot last at alexander hyphen schleicher dot de
Or call using 8912 instead of 890 at the end of the phone number, his assistant was Frau Bachmann last I was there.
RPR will make excellent bags from those drawings.
Load up with confidence and fly fast next season!

Clipper Plastics in Australia makes them from plans, they've done a lot of bags for gliders. They quoted me at like $400 US for the pair. Not sure what shipping would be.

Tom,
Sorry - as the drawings are not mine, I wouldn't post them without permission.

So I have a std libelle, and I pulled out the old bags to find then leaky and mouse eaten. All the plumbing is in good order but the bags are shot.

I see this RPR place mentioned. Any idea what the cost and order process is???

Thanks

Any suggestions other than RPR? They seem to be busy doing more lucrative work, and are not looking to do one offs.
