I got a virus warning when I tried to look at the web page. It tried to
install a trojan horse on my PC according to my virus protection. You'd
better get your server checked.

Jerzy, is this the same Perkoz as exhibited 2 years ago at the
SSA convention, or a new version ?

Hi everyone, I'm the webmaster for http://www.windpath.ca, since this
morning I've ran several malware checks with various utilities and the
site comes up clean each and every time.
I've contacted Matt directly and he still reports an issue but
unfortunately the information provided by his AV solution is not helpful
in isolating the problem if there is one. If you have any issues feel
free to contact me directly at the email address in this post.
Cheers,

I just tried it again and it seems the page is clean now. Thank you Luke!

An issue with the Puchaz is a very low max winch launch speed, providing too small a margin over the minimum safe winch launch speed. What are the comparable figures for the Perkoz in the various configurations?

Thanks, it appears that only people using Norton are seeing this warning - still trying to track it down...

Nope - I am using McAfee and am getting the same Trojan warning.

FYI, AVG Anti-Virus declares the site OK.
Guys getting warnings: Are you getting that when you first click on the site? Or is the website starting to load and _then_ you get an error/warning after the site is mostly loaded?
Depending on your newsgroup reader (such as Google Groups), the link is being translated into something else. Its possible that _this_ is the reason your security software is freaking out. Try manually opening a browser window and typing in ""http://www.windpath.ca"" into the browser (don't click on a link). See if you get the same error when the website tries to open up. (Simply viewing a website without clicking on anything is extremely unlikely to infect your PC with anything, as long as you have an anti-virus system and keep your computer reasonably-updated).

I was still unable to duplicate the virus warnings but the site has been
rebuilt and the back end updated to a newer version. I am waiting on
feedback from the few people who could duplicate the issue to see if
they still see the warnings..
Cheers

I'm using McAfee, Windows firewall, and Chrome virus checkers. McAfee just
said, "McAfee detected and automatically removed a Trojan..." The page came
up OK after that.

Again - using McAfee... Following Noel's advice I typed in the link and got
no Trojan warning. Then I clicked on the "Junior" link within the site and
got the warning.

In the link showing the rear cockpit, what device do you think they are using to run LK8000? That's a pretty neat installation.

Good stuff, Jerzy.
One more suggestion: It would be VERY useful to have a page with dimensions, weight, useful load, L/D with various wingtips, etc.
Thanks!

And, as I asked before, please would you report winch launch speeds - placarded max, min, and target. The very narrow safe/legal range of the Puchaz is a reason for some clubs not to want one one. Thanks.

Er I don't think that is the main reason why some clubs did not want one.
