I need to replace the oil seal (06A19956 or STD208) in the vacuum pump
adapter (61098) on my Lycoming IO320. How can I remove the existing
seal without a special Lycoming removal tool?
The oil seal is .875" ID x 1.5" OD x .3" thick.
ALL suggestions taken seriously
Thanks

The usual way. Drive a sheet metal screw into the metal part, grab the
head of the screw with a pair of vice grips, and yank.

don't have one to look at, but if the metal back is bottomed in a recess,
and you can get access to the back side, drill a couple of 1/8" holes from
the back side, 180 deg apart & punch out , alternating between holes to keep
it straight,( as possible )
