Hello

I am helping a friend sell an airplane and a home in an airpark. I
would like to get suggestions from this group as to good online forums
and marketplaces to post these items.

I've never been in the market for either of these items, so I don't know
much about where to go.

Where do you find the best exposure for the best price?
Do postings to rec.aviation.marketplace actually get read?

Thank you,
DanH

p.s. I am specifically trying to avoid spamming groups. But, I thought
this group would be the place to find the best info, and I hope I worded
it correctly so this discussion is on-topic ;)

You can post here, as far as I am concerned. Though not in the market
for an airport home, I certainly am interested in the concept. I
suspect that most other habitues of this newsgroup are too.

There is a metasearch engine at http://globalplanesearch.com/
Try a search there and see which listing services turn up, then post the ad
on the one you like best. Personally, I like the ones that have multiple
images of the aircraft you can click on and see different views of the
aircraft.

Also, there are type-specific web sites that often have a forum in which you
can post an ad. If the aircraft is a particularly good specimen of the
type, it might generate more interest in a type-specific forum. Try a
Google search on the type.

Cheers,

Jim
