This is the new system I just finished putting togheter and all i have to
say is that it's day and night difference between my old POS and this new
monster.
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 800FSB, 1GB DDR400 on ABIT IC7 and (drum rolls please) ATI
9800XT...
When you have enough raw power ... you can do anything.

Curious what your old system was, and what performance U got. Also,
what ever happened to Moore's law, the one about doubling clock-speed
every 18 months. I got a 2Ghz machine in late 2001 - it's now 2/3rd
of the way through 2004, and where are the 4ghz rigs?

Moore went out of the law business and is now making stupid movies.

Clock speed isn't the only factor that determines the speed of a
processor. The old 1.0GHz P3s are way more than 3 times slower than the
3.0GHz P4s of today.
