Reading this article certainly made me appreciate the job our military
forces are doing in combat areas. It's sad to see how poorly prepared
our troops are when we send them into battle. It really pmo knowing that
the same politicians that are talking about the support they are giving
the troops now that it is election time are the same ones who have cut
funding for military equipment.

Yes. The other kind, and the seeming majority of helos, is the kind that is
not flying because they are broke and too expensive to fix.

Just to humor you, I read through the entire article. I didn't see a single
sentence that in any way contributed to the practice of flying helicopters.

You *might* be able to justify posting the link to rec.aviation.owning
(after all, the article does sort of discuss issues related to the ownership
and maintenance of aircraft), but even that would be a stretch.

Anyway, it's unfortunate you are not able to restrain yourself from starting
an off-topic thread, but I guess that's just life. I was just curious if
you had any genuine justification for posting that article. Now that I see
you did not, I can get on with my life. :)
