GREAT AVIATION READS

Ran across two great aviation books at Amazon.com that may be of interest. One
is entitled THE LAST FLIGHT OF THE BLUE GOOSE at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1413706843/qid=1094831904/sr=ka-1/r
ef=pd_ka_1/104-0160304-5111104

It`s about B-24 bomber that simply disappeared from Fort Myers Army Air Base,
Florida in 1942. In 1977, after the death of a former Luftwaffe pilot a
bizarre Nazi plot is uncovered and the mystery surrounding the disappearance of
the Blue Goose is finally solved.

The other is THE MANNERHEIM LINE at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1591291941/qid=1094832278/sr
=1-5/ref=sr_1_5/104-0160304-5111104?v=glance&s=books

It`s about two pilots who meet while flying for the Loyalists during the
Spanish Civil War. After the Loyalists surrender they fly freight for a
company based in Gibraltar. In 1939, they offer their services to the Finnish
government and fly French built fighters during the Russo-Finnish War. After
the Finns surrender, both men return to Gibraltar where they are imprisoned.
President Roosevelt intervenes and the pilots are released to fly for the
British. It`s a great historical read that goes through WWII, the Korean War
and the Bay of Pigs

When exactly did you run across them?
You have been posting this same message (but nothing else), in rec
aviation groups since early 2003.

Could you by chance have more than a passing interest in moving these
particular titles?
