<quote>AOPA requests that the TSA suspend the compliance date ... and work
with the industry to develop constructive ideas for implementing a rule that
meets the congressional intent and minimizes its impact on pilots and the
flight training community<end quote>

I don't know if anyone will heed this document in the TSA, but for what it's
worth, thank you AOPA for standing up for all of us.

PS: 85,000 resident aliens ... that's a lot of us. Didn't think we were that
many.

Excellent! Glad to see AOPA fighting this nonsense.

Includes my son-in-law! That makes my granddaughters British citizens,
so we fly two flags off the dock.

I'm astonished that you're so few. Sure you didn't omit a digit?

I think that's 85,000 resident aliens with U.S. pilot certificates,
which is a good chunk indeed of the 650,000 total U.S. pilots.

In 2002 there were 11,451,000 RA's total in the US, according to USCIS.
