I currently have a C182RG with the BFGoodrich Skywatch traffic avoidance
system installed and displayed on a Garmin 530 and 430. Lately, I've
noticed that Bogey's will sporadically disappear from the display. They may
reappear or remain "undetected" even though I know that they are within the
normal operating radius of the system. It seems to happen more often in the
two quadrants in front of the aircraft rather than the rear quadrants.
Also, it may happen during maneuvering or level flight. Has anyone
experienced this? Is it normal for this to happen or should I have it
checked? Thanks in advance.

Antenna shielding during maneuvering flight?

I've been flying with Skywatch in a helicopter for the last four
years. It's normal as far as I can tell. Targets seem to jump around
a bit as well as they are lost and reacquired.
