Can you spell FOD? ****ing French probably couldn't get their Peugeot
paving machines to work long enough to get the runway done.

Agreed, what a dolt! We operate 727's on gravel strips all the time.
Properly equipped, and with proper procedures, it presents no problems
at all.

And Wien used to operate 737s off of gravel...the 727 would seemingly be
a piece of cake!
