When I try to access this NG I get a message: " MESSAGE IS NO LONGER
AVAILABLE ON THE SERVER". Can anyone tell me why? I get the same on
rec.aviation.rotorcraft, & rec.crafts.metalworking, but not on
rec.crafts.pottery or rec.autos.tech.

When was I voted out? :-)

One way of getting that message is if you download the articles and don't
read them immediately then go back to read them and they've expired from
the server. Your Newsreader still shows them but they don't exist on the
news server. I think the other people reference is to a pay newserver that
maintains articles in archive or just longer. But I may be wrong!

I appreciate the response, but I don't understand what you have told me.
What is Supernews? How does it affect my access to the NG?
