I am interseted in information about flying the regional jets - either the
Embraers or the CRJ's. I am currently flying turoprops and loving it but my
flying buddies say that the RJ's totallly rule. I am interested in the flying
characteristics, training, systems, procedures, profiles and the like.

Any input would be appreciated.

Having worked on and jump seated in both I can tell you the turboprop
requires more flying skill and the RJ required more box management
skill. The glitz and wow factor of the slick RJs is much higher. Once
take is accomplished flying the RJ is a matter of making sure the FMS is
doing what is was told on the ground.
