I just heard that Garmin has bought Apollo (UPSAT).

I have used products from both companies going back to Apollo 612
LORANS and GPS100, and it has always seemed that every generation
brought better stuff, especially in the user interface.

I hope this will make it even better.

What does anybody else think?

Syd.

You are a couple months late but correct. I don't think it will make things
better though since is has eliminated the competition between two excellent
companies and will probably result in decreased innovation (they don't have to
now) and higher prices. Just look what it did for the Terra line.
