I'm very curious, has anyone looked to see if the mayor had pulled a
demolition permit to demo the landing strip. In the city of Chicago,
you can't dismantle a garage without a permit, let alone a runway.
Even the mayor is not above the laws.

Try doing any work within the city limits, if it's visible, they want
money. And a demo permit is the first thing on their list.
