View Full Version : LAK-12 polar for SN10B
Hello,
Anyone have a good set of points to indoctrinate an SN10B on the ways of a LAK-12?
I cannot quite get the numbers I need from the LAK owner's manual, and the polar is not included in the canned bunch that comes with the ILEC. Nimbus II is close, I suppose, but I'd like to get it right.
Many thanks,
-GE

If you are a member of SSA, go to www.ssa.org. Under "The SSA", find "Soaring Magazine", then "Johnson Reports". Select the link to the flight test report. You will have to log in to see it. Should have everything you need to know.
Happy Flying!
Steve
Thank you, Steve, I will try that.

You should be aware that the designer of the LAK-12 read the Johson report and strongly disputed the 50-1 L/D Johnson claimed for the glider. Klemas Juocas the head of the design team at Sportine Aviacija did not believe the LAK-12 was better than 48-1.
