Has anyone successfully loaded the 302 utility program on to a Oudie and make it function?
I would be grateful for information on how to do this.

Are you referring to Connect Me that comes preloaded?

No

To adjust the 302 internal settings, pilot name, polar etc etc
you need to talk to the 302 with the CAI Utility software.

I've communicated with Naviter about adding the 302 Utility software to the
Oudie.
I don't know enough make it work; I tried to do it, without success.

Naviter claims it is possible..

So my question is;
Has anyone attached the 302 Utility to a Oudie?

I have used Connect Me on the Oudie to do all my communication with my 302.

Hi Nick,

I tried. It didn't work. It was quite a while ago, so I don't remember if
it didn't run at all (I think that was it) or didn't communicate.

I recommend using ConnectMe for flight log downloads and using SeeYou Mobile
for task declaration uploads. For editing the pilot data and polar data you
may need to use a PC or iPAQ - but that data is normally edited very rarely.

Hi Paul
Thanks for the reply.
I am using Connect me to up load waypoints and tasks to the 302/303. That
is working OK.
And I am using a Ipaq with a cable to use the 302 utility but it is a pain
to do that.
I'll post a note to Andjei [ sp? ] at Naviter again and see if they are up
to into putting a update on the list to do for the Oudie to allow other
programs to run on the Oudie
Regards
Nick

Hi Nick,

I don't think there is anything Naviter can do to get the 300 Utility
compiled to run on the Oudie's processor. Cambridge would need to do that.
That's not going to happen.

Therefore I recommend sending a friendly note to Naviter asking them to make
it possible to edit the parameters below on the 302:
- Pilot Name
- Logging Interval
- Polar Data
- cruise vario type
- etc.

SeeYou Mobile offers similar functionality for the V7 and LX1600.

However, since the 302 product line is not currently in production, I can't
imagine they will be too motivated to put a lot of work into supporting it.
But it doesn't hurt to ask.

Best Regards,

Nick,

I tried on the Oudie with no success. I thought is might just require a couple of .dlls.

The CAI 302 Utility runs on the Ultimate Le and the Ultimate Le57, It requires an AutoCopy folder where gx.dll and the aygshell.dll are copied into the ram windows folder at startup. But no window folder in the Oudie.

Hi,
On a slight tangent, is there a way to successfully declare a task into a
cai302
using an Oudie? I can upload the task ok using the task function on the
Oudie
but when I download the IGC file into See You after the flight it states
that no
task could be found.

Hi

On a slight tangent, does anyone know how to get a task uploaded
successfully to a CAI302 using an Oudie? I can upload it OK using the
upload function but when I download the IGC file after the flight and view
it on See You, there is no task listed.

Hi Andy,

I have used SeeYou Mobile to upload task declarations to the 302 many times
with success. I suspect that you missed a step in the upload process.
After you go to the Task edit screen and hit the Upload button it takes you
to the connection screen. Make sure it connects to the 302 and it should
briefly display a message that the task declaration upload was successful.
It should be set to comm 4 and 4800 baud.

No personal experience, but I gather XCSoar contains the same functions as the CAI utility software.
