Thank you for the engine information Peter.

My pleasure. It pre-empts questions about odd-looking bits on aircraft.

Taken from Bryan Philpott's Meteor (PSL) and Edward Shacklady's Gloster
Meteor (Macdonald Aircraft Monograph). The number of trial installations
of engines, weapons and systems on Meteors is astonishing, and both
books contain a wealth of information.

I'm thinking of getting Bryan Philpott's book (from Amazon).
What is your opinion of it?

Hello Mr. Lurker (or may I call you A?),

It's an informative and interesting work, with technical details,
operational information and stories by and about those who worked with
the Meatbox.

I can recommend it.
