The 1st FAI Pan American Gliding Championships (PAGC) is an international competition sanctioned as a continental Category 1 event by the FAI. These contests, with few exceptions, follow the same format, use the same rules, and have the same rankings as World Gliding Championships. The PAGC will be the first of its kind to be held in North America.

We are pleased to announce the official website: http://pagc.chilhowee.com/..

Bulletin No. 1 is published and available in the Documents section of the website.

This is a unique opportunity for pilots to fly their first international contest (IGC rules and scoring) and discover first-hand how FAI/IGC contests greatly differ from national or regional events. Participation as part of a National Team, operations within a coordinated Team, possible pair-flying, and allowed communication with crew and partners are some of those differences.

The US Team Committee will select a US Team for this FAI Continental championship, however there is the possibility for additional and/or reserve pilots to be included. US pilots interested in being considered for participation should contact Pete Alexander prior to the preliminary entry date of December 15, 2014.

Looks like it should be an awesome event and can't wait for April to get here! Many thanks to Sarah and her team for organizing this ground breaking race in the U.S. for the first time.

The bulldozers are on the runway now, it's exciting times for us!

I forgot to mention in the original post, and in case some of you don't notice it on the website:

IGC has approved an additional class. Now it is for both Club and 15 Meters.
