Hi
Is there anybody reading this group who has experience with
transporting a patient with an intra-aortic balloon pump in an Agusta
A109 or A119 helicopter? I am particularly interested the aircraft is
best loaded and the pump stowed.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks
Geoff

An appropriate place to post that question would be in the Flightweb
forums at www.flightweb.com. It is followed by aeromedical staff of all
flavors, not just pilots.
I just happen to be an RN who is a fixed wing private pilot and keep
tabs on here. Unfortunately I've never transported a balloon pump in my
aeromedical days so I couldnt give a direct answer.

I'd make sure our pump is preasure compensated.
I looked at this problem as a consultant for many months and in the end
found another non helicopter solution.
