View Full Version : Problem updating Oudie2 to 6.0

I just tried to update my Oudie2 from 5.2 to 6.0, using Oudie Updater running on Windows7 (which has worked fine in the past). Now my Oudie is stuck on the startup page ("Oudie" with cloud background) and does not respond to either a reset (via the reset button on back) or even to a power off command.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

Update: Got tired of trying to restart the stuck Oudie, so took the dogs for a walk in the snow. On return, Oudie still stuck on the startup page. So tried a combination of pressing the reset button AND the power button at the same time. Presto, it finished starting up, gave me the option of completing the update, and all seems OK now.
My guess is that I started with the battery too low (it was under 20%). Or I just pooched it somehow and unpooched it somehow.
Anyway, all seems fine now.

Not an Oudie, but occasionally my Streak does the same thing. The only
way I've been able to recover it is to remove the back and remove the
battery. It does not have a "reset" button.

What is this Oudie Live internet connectivity in 6.0? Does it just connect to the internet through USB via a computer that is connected? I didn't think it had wifi or cellular built in...

The Oudie connects to the PC with a USB cable to the Oudie Updater program. It updates the program, airspace, & vector maps. It will connect to other devices with bluetooth.

Hi Bruno,
You can see details on Oudie Live here:
http://www.naviter.com/2014/10/oudie-can-access-the-internet/
It is an Android app which is a portal for connecting your Oudie to the
internet through an Android phone. Unfortunately, it is not available for
iPhones.
