I just read in the military newsgroup that the EAA's B-17 had both mains
collapse on landing at the Van Nuys airport.

Umm.. Gear UP instead of Flaps UP at the end of the landing roll?

What was the deal with the tail wheel shimmy- was that a precursor or
associated with the problem. looked pretty severe if the gear collapsed when
they were doing 35 mph..... Pat
