Try the Hiller Aviation Museum at Palo Alto airport just south of San
Francisco at http://www.hiller.org/. I believe Stan Hiller is still alive
and in his early 80's and can be found often at the museum.

The museum is just that - a museum. It's not affiliated with ongoing
construction or upkeep of Hiller products. That said, it's a great
museum for aviation enthusiasts in general - the museum has much more
than just rotary-wing content - I've been there four or five times and
it's always a good visit. They have an awesome book/gift store. It's
just across the field from the transient parking area of of KSQL
(http://www.airnav.com/airport/KSQL).
There is or was a manufacturing/rebuilding facility of Hiller
helicopters in the Northern/Central part of California, but I don't
remember where that is/was. Perhaps that is the Porterville reference,
but I don't remember the town name being associated with that effort.
Please post what you find here - sorry I can't provide any more concrete
data. Despite the Hiller's pathetically low Vne I'd like to fly one
someday 8^) .
