Oudie 2 to LX Navigation EOS.

Has anyone connected this combo together?

1- What cables did you use
2- What hardware did you select in the Oudie menu
3- Do you have a wiring diagram of the pinouts
4- Does connectme work for file download
5- What hardware did you select in connect me menu
6- What baudrate did you select

With thanks.

Hi,

I have cables for connecting an LX EOS to an Oudie. You can see details
here:
http://www.cumulus-soaring.com/lx.htm#LX-EOS

NOTE: Make sure you use the most recent EOS manual. The original version
had the wiring connections backwards for transmit and receive on several
ports.

I have EOS units in stock.

However, I haven't tested connection to an Oudie yet, so I can't answer all
of your questions below.

Best Regards,

Thanks for your answer Paul

I have downloaded ver 1.1 of the manual with the corrections you pointed out.

OK, slowly making good progress with this.

I have yet to get a cable so I set it up using Bluetooth.

Oudie - Settings - Hardware = Others
Oudie - Settings - Input - Port settings, Start using serial com 4 to search for Bluetooth devices.
Oudie - Settings - Input - Bluetooth - Lookup
Once you have found the EOS, select "Pair" - Use 1234 as a pin number then select OK.
The Serial Port should automatically change to "Com5: (Bluetooth)
I set Baudrate to 38400 as this was set in the User Port in the EOS
Parity = None, Bits = 8, Stop bit = 1, Set DTR = Ticked, Set RTS = unchecked.
Select - OK in Serial Port Box - Select OK at bottom left.

This got the communication working between the EOS and the Oudie.
