A bigger threat than a U boat was the Fw-200 Condor. They could shadow a convoy and direct more U boats.


Luckily, Hurricanes were their natural predator.

Correct. Nine combat launches were made, resulting in the destruction of
eight Axis aircraft for the loss of one Allied pilot.

Escort carriers soon followed.
