A question for the Guru's out there:

I loaded FS2004 onto my new Sony Vaio PCG-GRT716S and got the black
screen for my instrument panel. I know this is a driver problem but
having shot off an E-mail to Sony asking when they would release an
updated driver, the silence was deafening.

The version currently on my machine and also available on the Sony
download page is 43.28. Does anybody know where I can get a driver that
will work on this machine.

NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600(Sony)

Have tried the download from NVIDIA.COM but it didn't work

Any advice would be appreciated

You can try changing your settings first. Are using XP? Linux? Try
lowering your resolution (or raising it). How may colors? etc, etc.

Does Sony have any older drivers - you might try that. If the Nvidia ones
don't work you'll probably have to wait on Sony to release an update.

Nothing visible on their download site. Looks like I'll just have to
wait for them to get their S**t together.

Finally got around to having another go today and lowering the
resolution worked. Dropped "Screen resolution" (within Display
Properties) from 1400 x 1050 pixels down to 1024 x 768 pixels. This is
not perfect but at least I can mess about with FS2004 on my Laptop now.

By the way, If anyone out there has not yet loaded AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy
get it now. Its fantastic.

If you read the Readme.htm that came with the installation this is
mentioned and we will be able to save Navaid changes in future releases.

I did read the "read me" but at the moment you can't save any changes to
navaids and this is not "fantastic".
