Anyone have any experience connecting a power flarm to a dell streak via an ioio adaptor? Mine works for a while, then disconnects. Any help appreciated!

Hi,
I had a similar problem connecting to XCSoar on my Dell a few years ago.
Despite loads of help from Max & Tobias at XCSoar I never really managed to
resolve the issue. It might help if you upgrade to one of the later
versions of Android available for the Dell on the net.
In the end I changed from trying the IOIO wired connection to using a
simple Bluetooth module available from eBay.
Also needs level shifting using a Max3232 chip, again easily available on
eBay
Regards

The highest version of Android I've found for the Streak is 2.3.7. There
might be higher available now, but mine works great with all functions
so I don't see any need to upgrade further.

Thanks Dan,
How do I get the higher version if the streak is not on a cellular plan. It has wifi connectivity, can I download the 2.3.7 version somewhere?
Thanks,
Blake

Dan,
I ended up putting the butterfly back in for Flarm and going back to my Ipaq 3955 as it plugs into the Cambridge and runs XC Soar very well. The screen is harder to see, but I know it's a solid platform. At some point, I may buy an Oudie 2 and a K6 so I can have both info sets on one device. time will tell. I do have an Androport IOIO if anyone is interested in pursuing that route.
Thanks for the help,
Blake
