Is there a day by day blog about the Nephi OLC Camp? Also noticed congruent OLC flights claimed out of Parowan - - so the overflow headed to Parowan?

Most of the Parowan flights were from a long-standing motorglider camp,
now over. Marotta called a camp at Salida and hardly anybody showed up.
Although I'm sure Nephi can be a nice place to fly, it seems to draw a
disproportionate share of traffic.

Yes, attendance at Salida was slim this year and the flying was only
great rather than terrific. Also in attendance were Craig McMillan, a
local pilot, Bella (I can't spell Hungarian names), and Gary Odenhal.

Miguel flew his glider from Moriarty to Salida to start the camp and
both Miguel and I landed out at Alamosa due to our return to Salida
being blocked by storms. We still had a good time. On my last day, my
MH oxygen regulator's batteries gave up while at 17,000' MSL so I made a
45 NM final glide back to Salida.

Many thanks to Steve Bush for providing tows. There were no relights
that I'm aware of.

Crossed the Wasatch near Dry Mountain this afternoon at 39000'.
Looked great if you steered clear of OD.
More cloud near Ely, and worse around Tonopah and Flying M.
Have fun,
Jim
